This lightweight and versatile matte box system is expertly designed to meet the needs of modern cinematographers, from run-and-gun shooters to full-scale production teams. The C5 Matte Box is compatible with a wide range of lenses and provides a secure mounting solution for NiSi's Cinema line of filters, as well as other 4mm thick filters. It's also designed to work seamlessly with NiSi's new 4x4 rotating circular filters, enhancing your workflow and creative possibilities. Constructed from durable Aluminum, plastic, and Carbon Fiber, the C5 Matte Box is built to last while keeping the weight to a minimum. Its robust construction protects the filters it holds, making it an ideal choice for aerial platforms and gimbal use mounted on vehicles. The C5 Matte Box features a clamp-on style with adapter rings, making it suitable for lenses with filter threads and cinema lenses with a 95mm outer diameter. Its deep filter depth blocks glare and positions the filter as close to the lens as possible, ensuring no vignetting on lenses down to a 15mm full frame equivalent. The Carbon Fiber top flag further reduces glare from overhead light sources, while the holder's side slots decrease wind resistance. Weighing in at just 350g, the C5 Matte Box is easy to handle and transport. The C5 Matte Box comes packaged in a convenient pouch that holds all the included accessories, making it ready for use on set with various lenses. The holder features a top entry 4x4 slot for square filters in a tray or NiSi's rotating filters designed for the C5. The filter tray can accommodate either a 2mm or 4mm thick filter, and there's a side entry 4x5.65 filter slot to suit all 4x5.65 filters, from ND's to Grads, Mist, Polarizers, and more. The C5 Starter Kit includes the holder, top flag, one 4x4 filter tray, one 4x5.65 filter tray, a pouch, and adapter rings to suit lenses with 67, 72, 77, and 82mm front threads.
