The SB-5000 is capable of on or off camera functionality so it can control other Speedlight units when mounted on a DSLR or fire remotely when used as an off-camera wireless unit.
The SB-5000 also features a new compact design with a smaller footprint while still retaining features like multiple flash modes, adjustable zoom head position and flash compensation value.
