Nike's Flagship Racing Shoe is Back With a Lighter, More Energetic Design for its 4th Iteration
Nike has always been an industry leader when it comes to fast, light, and propulsive super shoes geared for long-distance racing. And no shoe exemplifies this reputation better than the Alphafly. Now on its 4th version, this flagship racing shoe model is a go-to for anyone looking to break records, crush their PR, or simply feel their best on race day.
The secret to the speed and propulsion lies in the wide, stable carbon Flyplate within the midsole. A quieter and softer Air Zoom unit also sits underfoot, delivering more advanced softness and energy return with every step.
The newest iteration of this shoe brings comfort to the next level with an upgraded dual-layer midsole design. The standard, reliable ZoomX foam sits below a layer of ZoomX LT foam, a lighterweight form of the brand's iconic cushioning. This layered setup delivers stability and reliability while keeping the shoe lighter, faster, and more responsive than ever.
While the upgraded midsole unit is the star of the shoe, Nike also put lots of thought and detail into the performance-focused upper. The Atomknit material with open-hole mesh ensures breathability and airflow, while the midfoot cables enhance security and containment. So from mile 1 to mile 26.2, you can feel confident you'll have all the power, support, and comfort you need to achieve your goals.
