What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "I’ve run daily miles in the Peg 42, and the full-length Air Zoom really adds a noticeable pop at toe-off. The ReactX foam feels lighter and more energetic than previous versions, and the updated waffle outsole keeps traction solid without adding weight. It’s a reliable trainer with just the right amount of bounce." When the road calls for steady miles or a quick uptempo push, we lace up the Pegasus 42 Running Shoe and get moving. Nike refines a trusted daily trainer with lighter cushioning and full-length responsiveness that keeps our stride feeling energized from start to finish.A curved, full-length Air Zoom unit works with ReactX foam to deliver springy, responsive cushioning that feels smooth underfoot and lively at toe-off. The multi-zoned engineered mesh upper balances breathability with a secure lockdown, supported by internal layering and a plush collar, tongue, and sockliner for comfort through long runs. Underneath, a signature waffle-inspired rubber outsole provides dependable traction and flexibility, now with less rubber to keep the ride lighter without sacrificing grip.
