The
New Balance Girls 9060 Trainers in Pink are a chunky, heritage-influenced trainer for girls, made in Vietnam with a mesh upper, pigskin suede overlays, and a leather construction. The 9060 is one of New Balance's most recognisable silhouettes from the 2000s era — a thick-soled, multi-panel design that has become a staple of the current chunky trainer trend in both adult and children’s footwear.
The rose sugar pink colourway gives this trainer a warm, distinctive tone that sits between a blush and a dusty rose — softer than a bright pink but with more depth than a pastel. The ABZORB midsole with SBS cushioning provides genuine underfoot comfort for all-day wear, and the diamond rubber outsole adds grip and durability. A translucent CR device at the heel is a design detail characteristic of the 9060 silhouette. The trainer is also part of the Mini-Me and For Mom collections at Childsplay Clothing, reflecting its cross-generational appeal.
Buying Advice
Fit: The 9060 has a wider, more substantial silhouette than a standard running trainer — it’s designed with a roomier toe box, which suits children with wider feet. New Balance generally runs true to size, but the chunky construction means the shoe feels more substantial on the foot than a lightweight trainer. The lace fastening allows a precise, adjustable fit across the width of the foot.
Care: Wipe the suede overlays with a dry suede brush to remove surface dirt — do not wet suede directly. The mesh upper can be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Allow to air dry naturally. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
Styling: The rose sugar colourway pairs naturally with cream, white, and grey, as well as with denim and neutral tones. The chunky sole gives the trainer a strong visual presence, so it works best with more relaxed, casual silhouettes — wide-leg trousers, joggers, or midi skirts — rather than slim-fit or tailored pieces.
