Moncler’s down jackets began in a small Alpine village in 1952, made to protect workers who wore them over their overalls. They were tested on expeditions, and mountaineer Lionel Terray was the first to see their potential. The Tygid takes that into the city, true to the brand’s “born in the mountains, living in the city” motto, with a down fill and AirSoft fabric that’s water-repellent but soft and airy. An adjustable hood adds extra coverage when the weather turns.
