What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"This jacket’s name says it all—it’s incredibly comfortable, but it’s also a capable mountain softshell. The 4-way stretch moves effortlessly, the wool-poly backer feels cozy on cool mornings, and the windproof fabric with DWR means I don’t have to grab a shell every time clouds roll in."When we head out for hikes, travel, or just everyday wear in shifting conditions, the Mammut Ultimate Comfort SO Hooded Jacket has us covered. Its 3-layer, 4-way stretch softshell shields us from biting wind while the wool-polyester blend lining adds a soft, breathable touch next to skin. The PFC-free DWR treatment repels light rain, making this a jacket we trust from alpine trails to city streets.Smart details enhance its versatility—like an adjustable 2-point hood for quick coverage, raglan sleeves to prevent pack-strap pressure points, and zippered pockets to keep essentials close. An accessible drawcord hem even allows easy field repairs. With a perfect balance of comfort, stretch, and weather resistance, it’s a reliable companion for year-round adventures.
