We trust the Courmayeur SO Pants when our route calls for long pushes across ridgelines, rocky steps, and weather-shifting alpine terrain. Mammut builds this mountain staple with FLEXGUARD softshell fabrics to balance abrasion resistance, breathability, and stretch, giving us the freedom to move through scrambles and steep sections without feeling restricted. The recycled double-weave nylon at the knees and lower legs adds confidence where contact with rock is unavoidable, helping these pants hold up through repeated use in rugged environments. As conditions shift, the details start to matter. The adjustable waist stays secure under a harness, and four zippered pockets keep essentials accessible without interfering with our movement. A gusseted hem with a zipper fine-tunes the fit over different footwear, while the asymmetrical leg shaping and stowable boot hook help us lock in precision when climbing in mountaineering boots. With purposeful design from hip to cuff, the Courmayeur SO Pants stay ready for the full arc of an alpine day.
