The
Lacoste Kids Core Puffer Jacket in Grey is a unisex children's quilted puffer jacket made from a 100% polyester shell and fill, manufactured in Cambodia and available for boys and girls aged 3 to 16 years. Part of the AW2026 Lacoste Kids range and the Back to School collection, this is Lacoste's core outerwear piece for the season — a clean, unfussy puffer designed to be worn constantly rather than saved for specific occasions. The grey colourway is the strongest neutral in outerwear: it works with school uniform colours, casual weekend clothing, and sportswear without adjustment, and it reads as gender-neutral across the full 3 to 16 year age span.
The 100% polyester construction — both shell and fill — gives this jacket practical advantages specific to children's outerwear: polyester is highly water-resistant without a separate treatment, dries faster than down after rain or washing, and maintains its loft (the fill's ability to trap warm air) even when damp, which down-filled jackets do not. For a jacket that will be worn to school, left in a cloakroom, put in a bag, and worn home again on rainy autumn days, these are directly relevant properties.
Buying Advice
For back-to-school use, size up by one year band if your child is on the taller side or if you want the jacket to last through the full AW season with room for a mid-layer fleece underneath on colder days. The puffer construction compresses well for school bags and travel — useful for days when the jacket comes off at lunch and needs to fit in a bag. Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle; tumble dry on low heat with two clean tennis balls to redistribute the fill and restore the jacket's loft after washing. Do not dry clean. The Lacoste branding is present but restrained on the core style, making this appropriate for schools with informal dress codes where heavily branded outerwear might not be suitable.
