The
Lacoste Girls Piqué Polo Dress in Green is a 100% cotton polo dress for girls, made in Egypt in Lacoste’s signature piqué fabric, covering ages 3 to 16 years. The construction is identical to the pink version in the range — a classic polo collar, button placket, and dress-length hem without built-in shorts — but the green colourway gives this piece a distinctly different character. Green is one of Lacoste’s most recognisable heritage colours, rooted in the brand’s tennis and sportswear history, and on a polo dress silhouette it reads as more fashion-forward and considered than the more conventional pink or navy options.
The piqué fabric — a woven cotton with a raised, textured surface — holds its shape through wear and washing, resists creasing, and gives the dress a structured, smart-casual finish. The green colourway works particularly well in autumn and winter, where it coordinates naturally with earthy tones, camel, and cream, and layers cleanly over a fitted long-sleeve top or turtleneck. For spring and summer, it pairs with white and neutral accessories without competing with them. This is a designer girls’ polo dress that works across seasons and occasions without requiring a specific outfit to be built around it.
Buying Advice
Colour coordination: Green is a more versatile base colour than it might initially appear. It pairs naturally with white, cream, camel, tan, and navy — and for older girls and teens, it works well with denim in all washes. Avoid pairing with red or orange tones, which can clash with the green depending on the specific shade.
Layering: A white or cream fitted long-sleeve top underneath extends the dress into cooler months. For a more fashion-forward approach, a navy or camel ribbed turtleneck works well with the green colourway and gives the outfit a more considered, put-together feel.
Care: Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Wash with similar colours to maintain the green tone — avoid washing with whites or very light colours, which can pick up dye transfer from the green fabric over time. Do not tumble dry on high heat. Reshape while damp and hang or lay flat to dry.
