What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"This is the bag I recommend when someone wants one bag to cover most of the year without spending big on an ultralight setup. The trapezoidal baffles do a better job holding loft in place than standard box baffles at this price point, and the internal stash pocket is genuinely useful on cold nights when a dead phone at 3am is a real problem. The dual slider ventilation handles those shoulder-season nights when temps swing hard between midnight and morning. Size up to regular if you're anywhere near the height limit for short."The camping season is longer than most people give it credit for, and the Kelty Cosmic 20 Sleeping Bag is built around that idea. Rated to 20°F with an ISO comfort rating of 32°F, this is a three-season bag that handles the cold end of spring and the hard end of fall without asking you to reconsider your plans. The 550-fill duck down lofts quickly, compresses into the included stuff sack without a fight, and stays light enough in the pack that you don't feel it on the way in.Trapezoidal baffle construction keeps the down distributed and working rather than shifting to the edges where it stops insulating. A draft tube backs up the half-length zipper against cold air infiltration, and the natural-fit footbox gives your feet enough room to relax rather than stay pointed all night. The internal stash pocket keeps a phone or headlamp close and warm enough to hold battery through a cold night. Dual sliding zippers open from either end to vent heat when the temperature swings without committing to a full unzip. This is a bag that extends your season without complicating your kit.
