This floorstanding loudspeaker features a 2.5-way design with Next Generation patented High Definition Imaging (HDI) waveguide geometry, 1-inch (25mm) Anodized Aluminum dome tweeter, and dual 8-inch (200mm) Polycellulose ribbed cone woofers that provide deep, signature JBL bass. Dual 8 Polycellulose Ribbed Cone WoofersThe 280F features Polycellulose ribbed cone woofers. This pure pulp cone has a proprietary mix of other materials added to improve its rigidity and the ribs echo legendary JBL designs. These woofers produce deep, accurate, room filling bass. 1 Anodized Aluminum Tweeter in Next Gen HDI WaveguideThrough intense research of previous waveguide designs, JBL has developed a new complex geometry that improves directivity, reduced diffraction, and an overall neutral frequency response both on and off axis. The Stage 2 HDI Horn is coupled to an anodized aluminum dome tweeter to enhance efficiency and dynamics. Compatible with 240 Atmos ModuleThe 280F mates perfectly with the 240H to add Dolby Atmos to your system for an enhanced listening experience. Dedicated Atmos 5-way binding posts hide the wiring and create a seamless appearance. Precision 2.5 Way CrossoverThe 280F floorstanding model features a unique two and a half-way crossover design. This unique design crosses over the top woofer right below the tweeters output, while the other woofer is crossed over at a lower frequency. This creates a dynamic mid-range but both woofers still extend as deep as they can go for powerful bass. This produces cohesive balanced output with a robust low end that can be both heard and felt. 5-Way Binding PostsSturdy 5-way binding posts provide the listener with their choice of high-quality connection. They also match the binding posts on the JBL MA AVRs, carrying the cohesive look throughout. Magnetically Attached GrillesStage 2 has premium details throughout the line including magnetically attached grilles, unique trim rings and the floating front baffle design upscale features not typically found on loudspeakers in this price range. Dedicated ATMOS 5-Way Binding PostsThe 280F features dedicate Atmos 5-way biding posts at the bottom and top of the speaker. This unique design hides the wiring providing a clean uncluttered look. If the Atmos terminal are not used a cover is provided. Dual Flared Racetrack Rear Firing Tuned PortsDual racetrack flared ports are featured on the 280F. This new flared design reduces the velocity of the air when exiting the speaker cabinet, eliminating any chuffing or coloration of output. 1 x Stage 280F 2.5-Way Dual 8 Floorstanding Loudspeaker Documentation
