Isabel Marant didn't just add height with the Bekett wedge sneaker—she rewrote the rules. Long before "ugly sneakers" had a name, the Parisian was hiding cork lifts inside her soles as a kid, chasing extra height without the heels she refused to be "tortured" by. That childhood hack became the hidden wedge platform, first debuted in 2010 with the brand's signature boho-chic ease. Beloved by fashion insiders then and back again now, the original Bekett is still the one every other wedge sneaker is chasing.
