What sets the 55mm PROND EX 1000 Neutral Density 3.0 10-Stop Filter apart is its ability to provide filmmakers and photographers with precise control over light exposure. This essential tool enables the perfect balance of shutter speeds and depth-of-field, tailored to your frame-rate for filmmakers, and the ability to achieve longer exposures or a shallow depth-of-field in bright sunlight for photographers. Unlike many neutral density filters on the market that suffer from unpredictable "color shift" due to inferior materials, poor manufacturing, and neglect of the infrared band of the light spectrum, this filter utilizes ACCU-ND technology to eliminate these issues. This advanced technology ensures equal reduction of light in both visible and IR spectrums, preventing any negative effects from color shift, regardless of shooting conditions. The 55mm PROND EX 1000 Neutral Density 3.0 10-Stop Filter is housed in a lightweight, precision-milled aluminum frame. It features front filter threads, allowing for the attachment of additional filters or a protective lens cap. This filter is also an excellent tool for shooting video, particularly when using a Sony camera in Slog mode, where the ISO cannot be set below 800. To achieve cinematic quality during daytime shooting, the PROND EX 8, PROND EX 64, PROND EX 1000, or a combination of these filters can be used. The choice of ND filters is dependent on the photographer's intention and the desired effect in the final image. For instance, combining PROND EX 8 and PROND EX 64 will result in an effect equivalent to an ND500 filter, ideal for creating surreal imagery. Similarly, the combination of PROND EX 8 and PROND EX 1000 will produce an effect equal to an ND8000 filter, perfect for capturing the sun's surface without overexposure. In summary, the 55mm PROND EX 1000 Neutral Density 3.0 10-Stop Filter is a versatile tool that offers superior control over light exposure, ensuring high-quality, professional results in any shooting condition..
