It's undeniable that a Circular Polarizer is an essential tool for every photographer, and the NXT Plus 40.5mm 10-Layer HMC Multi-Coated Circular Polarizer Lens Filter from Hoya is a significant enhancement to the renowned NXT series. This high-quality filter incorporates a waterproof top-coat on Hoya's polished smooth "Clear" glass, ensuring effortless cleaning and maintenance. Dirt, smudges, and water can be easily wiped away, keeping your filter in optimal condition. The innovative design of this filter includes 10 layers of Hoya's patented anti-reflection (AR) multi-coatings. This advanced technology significantly improves the contrast, color, and sharpness of your images, enhancing your photography output. The polarizing film is optically thin with a filter factor of 1.72, facilitating faster AF and improved viewing over standard PL films.Hoya's durable, high-quality polarized glass is securely mounted into a precision milled, low-profile aluminum frame. This lightweight design makes it a versatile choice for wide-angle lenses. Despite its slim profile, the filter includes front filter threads, allowing you to attach additional filters or your protective lens cap.So, what does a Polarizer do Essentially, it acts as sunglasses for your lenses, effectively removing reflections. This function unveils the color, texture, and detail beneath the surface, resulting in greener leaves, bluer skies, and the revealing of beautiful rocks at the bottom of a secret mountain lake. This filter is also effective in eliminating reflections from car windows, painted surfaces, or any non-metallic surface. The effect can range from dramatic to subtle, depending on the lighting conditions, but it's always worth experimenting with.Using a circular polarizer is straightforward. Once attached to your lens, simply rotate the outer ring of the filter while looking through your viewfinder or LCD screen until you achieve the desired level of reflection control. When the colors and detail look just right, capture your perfect shot. The NXT Plus 40.5mm 10-Layer HMC Multi-Coated Circular Polarizer Lens Filter is an effective, versatile, and innovative tool for every photographer's kit..
