Where conventional photography captures the visible spectrum, the Haida NanoPro IR720 Infrared Filter opens up a world beyond human sight by allowing you to explore the realm of infrared light. This specialized filter is meticulously designed to enhance your ability to capture images that reveal how subjects reflect or transmit infrared light, which occupies a space in the electromagnetic spectrum just beyond visible light due to its longer wavelengths.Infrared photography unveils a unique perspective, as many surfaces and materials interact with infrared light differently than they do with visible light. This interaction can highlight subject properties that remain invisible to the naked eye. To achieve these extraordinary images, an infrared-sensitive medium is required, such as infrared film or a digital photographic sensor. These sensors often perform better when not hindered by the infrared-blocking filters typically installed over them. The Haida NanoPro IR720 Infrared Filter is engineered to block ultraviolet and visible light waves below 670nm, allowing only visible and infrared light at or above this threshold to pass through. This progressive transmission peaks with 50% of infrared light at 720nm and reaches an impressive 98-99% transmission at 950nm, ensuring that your images are rich in infrared detail.Constructed from K9 High Quality Optical glass, the Haida NanoPro IR720 Filter is equipped with advanced anti-oil and anti-water coatings. These coatings not only help reduce surface reflections, enhancing contrast and clarity, but also include hydrophobic properties that improve water beading for easier cleaning and maintenance. Whether you're using sunlight, photographic strobes, or incandescent lighting as your infrared light source, this filter ensures that the higher energy and shorter-wavelength visible light do not obscure the effects of infrared light, allowing you to capture stunning, otherworldly images with precision and clarity.
