A baby blanket is one of the most used items in the first year of a child's life — it travels between the cot, the pram, the car seat and the sofa, and it's handled by both parents and baby dozens of times a day. This Guess baby teddy bear AOP blanket in beige is made in China from an unusual fabric composition that sets it apart from standard fleece or cotton baby blankets: 55% polyamide, 20% polyester, 16% polycotton and 9% wool. The wool content is the notable element — even at 9%, wool adds a natural temperature-regulating quality that fully synthetic blankets can't replicate, helping the blanket adapt to changes in room temperature rather than simply insulating at a fixed level.
The all-over teddy bear print (AOP) in beige is a deliberate neutral choice: it works in any nursery colour scheme, suits both baby boys and baby girls, and doesn't date quickly in the way that more trend-specific prints can. Beige also disguises the light surface marks and spills that a frequently used baby blanket accumulates between washes better than white would. As an AW2026 piece, this sits in the Nursery, Newborn Shop and Baby's First Christmas collections — reflecting its role both as an everyday nursery essential and as a considered gift for a new baby around the Christmas period. The Guess branding on a baby blanket at this level is recognisable without being dominant, which makes it appropriate as a gift for parents who appreciate the brand but don't want a heavily logo-led nursery item.
Check the sewn-in care label carefully before washing. The 9% wool content means this blanket requires more careful washing than a fully synthetic equivalent — wool fibres can felt and shrink irreversibly if exposed to high temperatures or high agitation. A wool or delicates cycle at 30°C or below, or a gentle hand wash in cool water, is the safest approach. Dry flat rather than hanging to prevent the blanket from stretching out of shape while wet. Do not tumble dry on a high heat setting.
