female 17" Silver Beauty Dish for Norman Allure Mount

The Glow 17" Silver Beauty Dish for Norman Allure Mount .

Become a master of light manipulation with the Glow 17" Silver Beauty Dish for Norman Allure Mount. This renowned light modifier is a staple in the world of portraiture and fashion photography, delivering striking images with its unique diffusion properties. The Glow Beauty Dish utilizes a double parabolic reflector system, creating a lighting effect that beautifully merges the qualities of a direct flash and a softbox. The result is a wrap-around look, akin to a softbox, but with enhanced contrast and a more dramatic, directed beam. The silver finish of this 17" beauty dish amplifies output, intensifies contrast, and brings out the intricate details of your subject. This larger size is ideal for head and shoulders portraits, dramatic figure studies, or subjects in tight spaces where softboxes and umbrellas may not be as effective. The design of the Glow Beauty Dish includes a small opaque reflective cover, centrally suspended over the light source. This prevents direct light from hitting the subject, instead bouncing the light backwards off the small interior disk and flooding the larger bowl of the beauty dish. This results in a softer light cast than a standard reflector, and significantly less harsh than a speedlight. The position of the small center reflector cap is adjustable, allowing you to control the spread to the large bowl and accommodate tall or high wattage modeling lights. Included with the beauty dish is a diffusion fabric panel, or "sock", which fits snugly over the rim of the dish. This softens the ring of focused light, lowers contrast, and softens shadow edges, while increasing the spread of light. The Glow 17" Silver Beauty Dish is a versatile tool, used by photographers on monolights, flash heads, and speedlights to create flattering people shots, sculpt facial features, and produce beautiful shadows and catch lights. It's a favorite among glamour and sports photographers, who use the crisp lighting to enhance curves, muscles, and texture. The optional Glow honeycomb grid is a powerful addition to any photographer's toolkit. By covering the aperture of the reflector with the disk, you gain more control of the light source's beam, feathering the hard light for an attractive shadow. This strong directionality can be used to add high key depth for fashion images, and emphasize facial structures such as the eyes, lips, nose, and chin. The Glow 17" Silver Beauty Dish for Norman Allure Mount is not just a light modifier, it's a tool to transform your photography, adding dimension and tactile sensation to the visual experience..
