Let the Electro-Voice RE20 Variable-D Dynamic Cardioid Microphone elevate your audio recording and broadcasting experience. This professional-grade dynamic cardioid microphone is meticulously designed for a broad spectrum of applications, from recording and broadcasting to sound reinforcement. It boasts a flat response over an impressively wide frequency range, making it a top contender among the finest condenser cardioid microphones. The RE20's wide frequency response is complemented by its exceptional transient response, ensuring a clear and crisp sound capture. Its unique "bass tilt down" switch allows for spectrum balance correction, making it an ideal choice for long-reach situations or applications where bass attenuation is necessary. As a true cardioid microphone, the RE20 excels in sound source rejection at 180 degrees off-axis, minimizing off-axis coloration and maximizing the rejection of unwanted sounds. This consistent pattern control ensures that the frequency response remains nearly independent of the sound source's angular location. The RE20 is equipped with an integral blast and wind filter that covers each acoustic opening, allowing singers to "close talk" the microphone without the worry of "P-pops" or excessive sibilance. This filter also serves as a shock mount for the internal microphone element, reducing the transfer of vibrations from external sources. The heart of the RE20's exceptional performance lies in its large Acoustalloy diaphragm and low-mass aluminum voice coil. This combination allows the microphone to reproduce extremely high sound pressure levels without the risk of overload and distortion commonly experienced with phantom-powered condensers. The RE20 remains reliable even in high humidity and elevated temperatures, conditions that could degrade the performance of competitive condenser microphones.Encased in a robust steel housing and equipped with an effective hum-bucking coil, the RE20 stands strong against magnetically induced hum and noise. This makes the RE20 a reliable choice for environments where other microphones may succumb to unacceptable levels of hum and buzz. Experience the superior sound quality and robust performance of the Electro-Voice RE20 Variable-D Dynamic Cardioid Microphone..
