After extensive research and development, Sony presents the E 10-20mm f/4 PZ G Lens, a compact and lightweight ultra-wide-angle power zoom lens that perfectly blends mobility and superior image quality. This innovative lens, designed for E-mount APS-C and Super35 cameras, is the world's smallest and lightest of its kind, weighing only 6.3 oz. and measuring a mere 2-1/4" long. The lens features an internal zoom and focus mechanism, ensuring a stable center of gravity ideal for vlogging or gimbal-mounted shooting. Its dynamic ultra-wide perspectives and exceptional G Lens resolution throughout the 10-20mm zoom range are achieved with three aspherical elements that suppress field curvature and astigmatism, common issues in wide-angle lenses. The lens also incorporates two Extra-low Dispersion (ED) elements and an ED aspherical element, contributing to remarkable image-wide resolution. The electronic power zoom system instantly converts zoom ring control to change in focal length, allowing precise changes in the angle of view for enhanced visual expression. The lens is equipped with a zoom lever with continuously variable zoom speed, enabling super-slow constant-speed zooms and other operations that are challenging with manual zoom. Power zoom minimizes camera shake, ensuring smooth, stable movie sequences even for solo shooters. Fast, precise, and quiet autofocus is guaranteed with two linear motors, capable of smoothly tracking subjects when shooting high frame rate movies and reliably following fast-moving subjects when shooting stills continuously at high speed. The lens also features reduced focus breathing and shift while zooming, ensuring high-quality images and movies. Its compact design does not compromise functionality or performance, with its length remaining constant while focusing and zooming for optimal balance and handling. The lens also supports remote zoom control with compatible cameras, accessories, or smart devices. It offers naturally rendered bokeh and excellent close-up performance with a minimum autofocus distance of just 7.9". The lens is designed with dust and moisture resistance, providing extra reliability for outdoor use in challenging conditions. It includes an ED aspherical element and two ED glass elements that reduce chromatic aberration throughout the image area, achieving natural color and high contrast without color bleeding. The lens also features a customizable focus hold button for easy access and convenient control in any shooting situation. Instantly switch between auto and manual focus via an AF/MF switch on the side of the lens. This lens is a testament to Sony's commitment to providing high-quality, durable, and reliable camera equipment..
