What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"The Mezzalama is the boot I point serious speed tourers and racers toward when they need a boot that performs at the limit without compromise. The Race Lock system makes transitions genuinely fast — no fumbling, no lost seconds — and the Twist Fit heel hold is noticeably more secure than a conventional buckle setup under hard skiing loads. At 875 grams it's light enough to run on a race number and capable enough for demanding high-alpine objectives."Some boots are built for the mountain. The Dynafit Mezzalama Alpine Touring Boot is built for what happens when you push the mountain as hard as it can be pushed. Developed for ambitious racers and Speed ski mountaineers, it draws directly from Dynafit's competitive DNA and World Cup carbon models, distilling that racing heritage into a boot that performs at the limit on a course or on a remote high-alpine objective. Made in Italy at Dynafit's Montebelluna facility, every detail is resolved to the same exacting standard. At 875 grams per boot, the Mezzalama is built around a carbon fiber-reinforced Grilamid cuff and a fiberglass-reinforced lower shell — a construction that delivers exceptional rigidity and control without unnecessary weight. The Race Lock closure system enables fast, precise buckling and unbuckling so transitions don't cost time on the mountain, while the revolutionary Twist Fit System dials in heel hold and forefoot security in a way that conventional closure systems can't replicate. A 97mm last suits the athletic foot of a serious ski mountaineer, cuff rotation of 60° and adjustable forward lean of 10° to 13° cover the full range of terrain from steep technical ascents to high-speed descents, and the Pomoca Race sole delivers the grip needed when the approach demands it. Backed by Dynafit's lifetime guarantee, the Mezzalama is the boot for those who measure performance in vertical gained and seconds saved.
