What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"The Columbia Sucker For Summer 1/2-Zip Crew Sweatshirt has been my default campfire and post-beach layer all season. The Omni-Shield treatment shrugged off a marshmallow incident and a mystery splash without a second thought, and the collar that stands up when fully zipped adds just enough wind protection when the evening cools down faster than expected."Every good summer day eventually earns a good summer evening, and the Columbia Sucker For Summer 1/2-Zip Crew Sweatshirt is the layer that makes those hours comfortable. Whether the night ends around a campfire, on a breezy deck, or walking back from the water as the temperature dips, this relaxed half-zip is the piece you reach for without thinking twice. Columbia built it from quick-dry polyester with Omni-Shield repellency so the casual moments of summer, spilled drinks, damp chairs, and dewy grass, stay on the outside where they belong. The relaxed fit wears easily over a swimsuit or a base layer without pulling or bunching, and the elastic cuffs keep things tidy at the wrists when the breeze picks up. The collar stands up and seals out the wind when the zip is all the way up, and the drawcord adjustable hem lets you lock in coverage at the bottom. Hook-and-loop pockets keep small essentials close, and the extended zipper pull makes one-handed adjustments easy when both hands are already full of everything summer tends to bring along.
