What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"The Columbia Silver Ridge Utility II Short-Sleeve Shirt has become my default warm weather hiking shirt because UPF 100 means I stop doing the mental math on sun exposure mid-hike. The mesh lining and venting kept things genuinely comfortable on a long desert trail where the heat was relentless, and the collared silhouette looks clean enough to wear straight from the trailhead into town."A hot summer trail has a way of making every gear decision feel consequential, and the shirt closest to your skin matters most of all. The Columbia Silver Ridge Utility II Short-Sleeve Shirt brings UPF 100 protection to every mile, blocking UV rays through tight fabric construction so the sun stays a backdrop rather than a problem. The classic collared silhouette keeps things looking intentional whether the day ends at the trailhead or carries on somewhere after.Mesh lining and strategically placed venting move air through the shirt during hard efforts in the heat, and Omni-Wick pulls sweat away from the skin and clears it from the fabric quickly. A zippered chest pocket and interior security pocket handle trail essentials without bulk, a locker loop keeps the shirt tidy at camp or in a gear room, and the shirttail hem adds a little extra coverage at the back where packs and hip belts tend to ride up. Built from 100% recycled polyester, this is a trail shirt worth reaching for all season long.
