What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:“This is one of the most versatile everyday jackets Columbia makes. The shell alone handles wet commutes, the liner is basically a plush fleece jacket, and zipped together it’s genuinely warm. The side zips and 2-way front zip are surprisingly clutch for mobility.”We count on the Payton Pass II Interchange Jacket when the forecast can’t make up its mind. The waterproof-breathable shell shields us from cold rain and slushy sidewalks, while the zip-in liner surrounds us with plush, thermal-reflective warmth courtesy of Omni-Heat Infinity. Together, they form a fully weatherproof system for the depths of winter; worn separately, each layer adapts effortlessly to milder days.Thoughtful details elevate the experience—an adjustable hood lined with soft fleece, removable faux-fur trim for style or simplicity, and side zippers that free up movement around the hips. A 2-way front zipper adds sitting and walking comfort, while hand and chest pockets secure everyday essentials. Whether we’re navigating morning commutes, snowy errands, or weekend wanderings, the Payton Pass II gives us three jackets in one seamless package.
