What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I picked this up for a young hiker in my family who never slows down regardless of the weather, and the Hydroplus shell has held up well through everything from drizzly school mornings to muddy trail days. The reflective details are a practical bonus when afternoons get dark earlier in the fall."Rainy days rarely cancel plans for kids, and the Columbia Glennaker Rain Jacket makes sure a little weather doesn't have to. Built for the unpredictable mix of school commutes, trail outings, and after-school adventures, this reliable shell keeps young movers dry and comfortable without slowing them down.Columbia's Hydroplus nylon shell sheds rain efficiently while an Omni-Shield DWR coating helps deflect dirt and moisture before they soak in. Elastic cuffs seal snugly around the wrists to block drafts and keep warmth from escaping when temperatures drop, and reflective details add a layer of visibility during low-light afternoons and early evening outings. The hip-length cut and regular fit leave room to layer underneath when conditions call for it, making the Glennaker a practical grab-and-go shell for whatever the day throws at it.
