Silver-tone 316L stainless steel case with a blue rubber strap. Fixed silver-tone 316L stainless steel bezel. Blue dial. Dial Type: Analog. Luminescent hands and markers. Automatic movement. The CIGA Design self-designed movement, featured in the U-series Blue Planet watch, represents an innovative leap in horological technology with its patented asynchronous follow-up mechanism. It is designed in collaboration with SEAGULL. Unlike traditional watches where the hour hand rotates 30 and the minute hand rotates 360, this movement employs a unique gear ratio, allowing the hour hand, which is the globe itself, to rotate 30 whereas the minute hand rotates 390. This non-synchronous trailing feature, inspired by ancient sundials, redefines time-telling by combining a static 12-hour scale with a rotating minute one. The compass marker, positioned between Madagascar and Antarctica, serves as the time pointer. It seamlessly integrates with the watchs intricate movement, offering an ingenious solution that challenges conventional time-telling methods. Beating at 21,600 vph, this self-winding movement provides a power reserve of 40 hours. Scratch resistant sapphire crystal. Pull / push crown. Transparent see through case back. Round case shape, case size: 46 mm, case thickness: 15 mm. Butterfly with push button release clasp. Water resistant at 30 meters / 100 feet. Functions: hour, minute.
