An epitome of innovation and precision, the Advanced VX 6" Refractor Telescope sets a new benchmark in mid-level astronomical instruments. This telescope is a part of Celestron's esteemed Advanced VX series, renowned for integrating sophisticated German equatorial mount features at a highly competitive price point. The Advanced VX 6" refractor telescope is designed with an unobstructed aperture and a focal ratio of f/8, ensuring the highest contrast when observing celestial bodies, particularly planets. This telescope is a testament to Celestron's commitment to advanced technology, incorporating features such as All-Star Polar Alignment, Celestron PWI telescope control software, SkyAlign, and permanently programmable periodic error correction (PPEC).Whether you're an experienced imager seeking a portable mount for dark sky sites or a beginner in the imaging field, the Advanced VX is designed to cater to your needs for years to come. The telescope features a computerized German equatorial mount, the smallest in Celestron's range, equipped with GoTo capability for automatic tracking of celestial objects across the night sky. The Advanced VX mount is designed with multiple ports for a hand control, an autoguider, and two AUX ports for optional accessories. The NexStar+ hand control provides instant access to all the functions of your mount, making it user-friendly for astronomers at any level. The Advanced VX also boasts a robust tripod with 2" diameter steel legs, providing an extra-wide stance for enhanced stability. The payload capacity of the Advanced VX is 30 lbs, offering a sturdy platform for any of the Advanced VX optical tubes, even when paired with optional accessories. As of early 2019, Advanced VX mounts now include a dual saddle plate that accommodates both CG-5 and CGE-style dovetail, making it compatible with virtually any optical tube within its weight limit. The telescope comes with Celestron PWI (CPWI), the most advanced astronomy software suite available with any consumer-grade telescope. Developed in collaboration with the engineers at PlaneWave Instruments, CPWI offers an all-in-one solution with features used on observatory-class telescopes. Additionally, your purchase includes a free download of Celestron's Starry Night Special Edition Software. This advanced software by Simulation Curriculum offers detailed information about celestial objects and helps you plan your next observing or imaging session. The Special Edition software also allows you to control your telescope via computer, making the Advanced VX 6" Refractor Telescope a comprehensive solution for all your astronomical exploration needs..
