Under the starlit sky, the Celestron 14" Aluminum Dew Shield with Cover Cap serves as an indispensable accessory for your telescope, safeguarding your instrument while enhancing your celestial viewing experience. This dew shield is specifically designed to minimize radiative cooling of the Schmidt corrector lens, thereby maintaining the lens temperature above the dew point for an extended period and effectively preventing dew formation. The Aluminum Dew Shield not only protects your telescope but also boosts image contrast. It achieves this by obstructing stray light from entering the telescope, thereby ensuring superior viewing and astroimaging quality. This makes it an ideal companion for your 14" EdgeHD, 36cm RASA, or Schmidt Cassegrain (manufactured post-2006) telescope tube. Constructed for precision, the Aluminum Dew Shield offers a flawless, custom fit for 14" Celestron telescope tubes. The exterior boasts a robust, aluminum cylinder that resists folding, flexing, or deformation. Inside, the velvet-lined interior absorbs any residual stray light and excess moisture, thereby creating optimal contrast for viewing and imaging. The dew shield attaches securely to your telescope tube with two adjustable clips, ensuring a snug fit. The cover cap, crafted from lightweight yet durable aluminum, protects your Schmidt corrector from stray dust particles when the telescope is not in use. It also facilitates the quick and easy acquisition of dark frames for imaging. Astroimagers using their Schmidt-Cassegrain or EdgeHD in the Fastar/Hyperstar configuration or the 36cm RASA will appreciate the Aluminum Dew Shield's integrated cable management slot at the base. This feature simplifies your setup by neatly organizing essential cables, such as those for our Dew Heater rings, without allowing light pollution to seep in. The dew shield also includes cutouts to accommodate dovetail rails on the top and bottom of the telescope tube, ensuring a perfect fit regardless of the configuration. With the Celestron 14" Aluminum Dew Shield with Cover Cap, you can confidently explore the cosmos, knowing your telescope is well-protected and optimized for the best viewing experience..
