What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I took the Geko Hot Evo Gloves on a multi-day mountaineering trip that mixed wet approaches, cold bivouacs, and technical mixed climbing, and they handled all of it without a weak point. The DRYZONE membrane kept my hands dry through two days of damp conditions, and the EVA knuckle inserts saved me twice when I bumped my hands against rock on a cramped chimney section. The Grip'R palm feels almost as secure as bare hands on tool handles."Technical mountaineering puts gloves through a different kind of test than a groomed ski tour or a well-traveled trail. Rock contact, tool placements, rope handling in wet conditions, and the accumulated cold of a long summit day all demand a glove that can absorb punishment while keeping your hands functional and warm. The C.A.M.P. Geko Hot Evo Glove was built specifically for that environment, combining waterproof and breathable DRYZONE membrane construction with a level of protection and grip that serious alpine objectives require. The Grip'R silicone prints on the palm and fingers deliver exceptional purchase on tool handles, rope, and rock, backed by PrimaLoft Gold Eco Grip Control padding in the palm that adds grip-enhancing texture without sacrificing the sensitivity needed for technical movement. EVA inserts running 3 millimeters deep across all fingers except the thumb shield your knuckles from the kind of incidental impact that comes with climbing in tight terrain, handling protection on a mixed route, or moving through rocky scrambles in the approach. The DRYZONE membrane keeps moisture out whether it comes from snow, rain, or a wet rope, and the overall construction balances softness and flexibility with enough structure to hold up across multi-day objectives where glove performance cannot afford to degrade. At 140 grams, the Geko Hot Evo sits firmly in serious mountaineering territory without tipping into the bulk of an expedition glove.
