HISTORY ASPECTS - The Mil Mi-24V “Hind-E” is one of the most recognizable attack helicopters of the Cold War era, developed by the Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant for the Soviet Union and widely exported to allied and successor states. The Mil Mi-24 combined heavy armament, armor protection, and a small troop compartment, allowing it to perform both close air support and limited battlefield transport missions. The Mi-24V variant introduced improved sighting systems, upgraded engines, and more capable anti-tank ry, significantly increasing its combat effectiveness.Aircraft 7353, operated by 231 Squadron of the 23rd Air Base Wing of the Czech Air Force, represents the continued evolution of the Hind platform within a NATO-integrated force structure. In 2005, this Mi-24V participated in the NATO Tiger Meet hosted in Turkey under the framework of NATO, an annual multinational exercise that brings together elite squadrons to demonstrate interoperability, tactical proficiency, and unit identity. The Czech Hind’s participation highlighted how former Warsaw Pact equipment could be successfully adapted into Western operational doctrine while maintaining full combat readiness. The Mi-24 family has seen extensive combat use across multiple global conflicts, beginning with its most famous deployment during the Soviet-Afghan War, where it earned the reputation of a heavily armed “flying tank.” Variants have since been used in conflicts in Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe, including counterinsurgency and conventional operations in Iraq and other regional theaters. Its combination of durability, firepower, and versatility has made it one of the most enduring attack helicopter designs in military aviation history. This 1 - 48 scale model is a powerful tribute to one of the most iconic attack helicopters ever built. Featuring authentic squadron markings and the distinctive tiger-themed display livery, it captures both the brutal strength of the Hind and the prestige of NATO’s elite exercise tradition. Perfect for collectors of Cold War and modern rotary-wing aviation, this replica is a standout centerpiece combining history, power, and international aviation heritage.
