What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "This jacket is a lifesaver on frigid tours. The targeted insulation keeps my core warm without overheating, and the vent zips make it easy to cool off when I’m climbing. The pockets are perfectly placed for use with a harness or pack, and the hood fits over my ski helmet without restricting movement."When the mercury drops and the wind picks up, the Recon Insulated Shell keeps us pressing onward. Its BD.dry 2L waterproof fabric blocks snow and wind, while zoned Thermolite insulation targets warmth to the core without compromising breathability. Perfect for sub-zero tours, lift-access laps, and storm-day pursuits, it’s built to handle long days in the harshest winter conditions.Packed with mountain-ready features, the jacket includes a removable powder skirt, ski-helmet-compatible hood, and PU-coated front zipper for added protection. Pit zips dump heat on the skintrack, while multiple pockets—front hand, chest, and internal drop—keep essentials organized. An integrated RECCO reflector adds a safety layer, making it a reliable partner for serious winter missions.
