What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "I use these on the coldest storm days. They keep me dry in deep snow and warm on the lift, without feeling bulky. The stretch fabric and articulated fit give me plenty of movement when skiing tight trees or hiking for turns."When we’re charging through storm cycles and freezing chairlift laps, we count on the Black Diamond Recon Insulated Pants to bring warmth without compromising mobility. Designed for cold resort days and back-to-back powder storms, these pants deliver a protective combo of waterproofing, insulation, and breathable stretch. The 3-layer BD.dry membrane offers 20K-rated waterproof and breathable performance, while zoned Thermolite insulation keeps heat in where we need it most without overheating or restricting movement. The 4-way stretch shell fabric and articulated knees give us the freedom to move on bootpacks and in tight terrain, and the offset side vents help regulate temp when we’re working hard. With zippered thigh pockets, an electronics sleeve, snow gaiters, and RECCO integration, the Recon is ready for serious mountain days.
