What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "I love these hybrids because you get the best of both worlds—a snag-free keylock biner up top for bolt clipping and a lightweight wiregate on the rope side. The Straitjacket keeps the bottom biner locked in position, and the colored HotWire makes clipping feel automatic. Durable, clean, and super versatile for every style of climbing." We grab the Black Diamond Hotforge Hybrid Quickpack when we want a set of draws that handle everything from gym training sessions to steep outdoor projects. This hybrid design pairs a HotForge keylock carabiner up top for smooth, snag-free bolt clipping with a classic HotWire on the rope end for lightweight efficiency and clean, confidence-inspiring clips. The 18mm polyester dogbone provides a durable, secure feel when we’re working moves, and the Straitjacket insert keeps the wiregate biner perfectly oriented for fast, accurate clips. A color-coded rope-side carabiner makes targeting easy when we’re pumped and pushing. With hot-forged construction, reliable strength ratings, and intuitive handling, the Hotforge Hybrid Quickpack becomes a go-to choice for climbers wanting dependable performance from their quickdraws.
