What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "These are the shorts I live in all summer. They're comfy enough for lounging but built tough enough for climbing sessions. The wide waistband never digs under a harness, and the mix of twill and corduroy fabrics is super fun—I've ended up with more than one pair."When the temps rise and the climbing plans come together, we reach for the Black Diamond Dirtbag Shorts. Built for days at the crag and downtime at camp, they combine functional stretch with laid-back comfort in a silhouette that nods to classic vintage style. We love the wide elastic waistband and drawcord for a dialed-in fit, and the mix of available fabrics—stretch twill or corduroy—lets us choose our vibe. With roomy drop-in pockets and a mid-rise fit that pairs well with harnesses, these are the kind of shorts that move from route to rest day without missing a beat.
