What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "This is my sun hoody of choice for alpine linkups and desert missions. It keeps me cool, covered, and moves really well under a pack. I’ve worn it on long, exposed days without overheating and love that the hood fits cleanly under a helmet."We’re logging hours under high-altitude sun, and the Black Diamond Alpenglow Pro Hoodie is built to keep us protected while we move. Designed with BD.cool mineral-based technology and a UPF 50+ rating, this piece reflects heat and shields us from UV rays so we can stay focused on the objective—not the burn. From its breathable stretch panels to its harness-friendly fit, every detail is made for active mountain travel. The fitted hood layers cleanly under a helmet, while thumbholes and a drop hem keep coverage dialed when we’re on the move. Whether we’re scrambling ridgelines or racking up desert towers, this hoody earns its place at the top of our kit list.
