When winter days start early and don t slow down, we rely on the Backcountry Peale Primaloft Stitch-Free Baffle Stretch Jacket to keep us warm without restricting movement. The softshell exterior flexes naturally as we skin, climb, or move through cold-weather transitions, while the stitch-free baffles maintain a clean, low-profile shape that disappears under a shell. Warmth stays consistent even on snowy ascents thanks to lofty PrimaLoft Silver Thermoplume insulation that holds heat when the weather turns wet. As our pace changes, so does the way we use the Peale. Large interior dump pockets stash gloves or skins on the uphill, and the zippered chest and hand pockets secure small essentials we need within reach. The mock neck seals in warmth, while Lycra-bound cuffs and hem help keep drafts out. When conditions improve or we warm up, the entire jacket packs into its own pocket, making it easy to stash without breaking stride.
