Make your photography stand out with the B+W 95mm Basic 486M MRC UV/IR Cut Filter. This high-quality filter is designed to effectively eliminate unwanted UV and infrared light components that can cause color casts and blurring in your digital images. Unlike other filters, the B+W 486 doesn't rely on colored glass for absorption. Instead, it uses a unique interference method, employing multiple wafer-thin, partially reflecting layers with a meticulously calculated thickness. This durable filter is clear and colorless, ensuring that it doesn't affect the exposure of your images. It's versatile enough to be left on your lens permanently, serving as a reliable protection filter. The B+W 486 UV-/ IR-Cut filter also boasts a MRC coating, enhancing its durability and resistance to reflections. Designed to work optimally with lenses featuring an aperture angle up to 60 degrees, this filter ensures consistent color reproduction across your images. However, it's worth noting that as the angle of the incident light increases, the color influence tends to drift towards blue. This is a physical principle of interference filters and may result in a bluish tint at the edge of the image for wide-angle lenses with an aperture angle larger than 60 degrees. In summary, the B+W 95mm Basic 486M MRC UV/IR Cut Filter is an essential tool for any photographer looking to enhance their image quality and protect their valuable lenses..
