The mountain shell is an all-weather hooded jacket, constructed from a 3-layer breathable waterproof membrane fabric. The jacket features bonded seams, adjustable velcro cuffs, a heavy-duty waterproof zipper, concealed waist pockets, and an articulated and adjustable brimmed storm hood. The exterior of the 3-layer membrane fabric is treated with a non-PFC Durable Water Repellent for increased water shedding and weather resistance.
